The island can be reached with two ferry companies: To.Re.Mar and Moby Lines. Both have numerous daily crossings between Piombino and Portoferraio (the To.Re.Mar also goes to Rio Marina and Porto Azzurro). The crossing time is of 60 minutes. To.Re.Mar also uses a speed boat (40 minutes crossing) and a passenger only speed boat (30 minutes crossing).
